Uczta z książką… Uczta życia – konkurs w Iraku

Biblioteka Mumtaza Haidariego w mieście Erbil w Iraku jest organizatorem 1st International Caricature Festival Of The Mumtaz Haidari Library. Hasłem przewodnim festiwalu jest „Uczta z książką… Uczta życia”. W ramach festiwalu organizowany jest też konkurs rysunku satyrycznego – temat oczywisty – Książka. I drugi temat – karykatura kurdyjskiego pisarza, dziennikarza i działacza politycznego Mumtaz’a Haidari.

Termin zgłaszania prac do konkursu – 10 październik 2026.

1st International Caricature Festival Of The Mumtaz Haidari Library, Erbil /Iraq 2026
The Mumtaz Haidari Library announces the opening of submissions for its first international cartoon festival in Erbil, under the slogan: „The Book Feast .. The Life Feast”.
The festival invites cartoonists from around the world to participate with works celebrating books and knowledge, and honoring the prominent Kurdish writer, journalist, and politician, „Mumtaz Haidari”, one of the most prominent cultural figures who dedicated his life to serving the written word, libraries, and journalism.
Competition Themes:
1)Theme One: The Book, the Importance of the Book, the Book in the Age of Technology, the Book and Life.
2) Theme Two: A caricature portrait of the Kurdish writer, journalist and politician „Mumtaz Haidari”.
Deadline:10 October 2026
Competition Rules:

• Participation is open to all artists from around the world.
• Submitted works can be in color or black and white.
• Each artist is allowed to submit only two works per theme.
• Artwork must be 300 dpi in A3 format (JPEG).
• Works produced using artificial intelligence are not accepted.
• Please include the artist’s name and country with the artwork.
• The organizing committee reserves the right to use the submitted works.
  Selected materials for advertising, publishing, and exhibition organization purposes will be used through printing, publishing, and promotion via social media.
• All participants whose work is displayed will receive a digital catalog and a digital certificate of participation.
  Prizes:
  1st Prize: USD 500
  2nd Prize: USD 300
  3rd Prize: USD 200
  Note: The prizes are awarded only for the caricature portrait category (Theme Two).
