Gabrovo 2015 – Polacy wśród laureatów
W katalogu 22nd International Biennial of Humour and Satire in the Arts – Gabrowo 2015 (Bułgaria) zostały opublikowane prac 12 polskich artystów.
Dwoje z nich zostało laureatami tego biennale: Lex Drewiński (polski artysta, mieszkający w Niemczech) został laureatem Nagrody Miasta Gabrowa (jednej z dwóch głównych nagród przyznawanych ponad kategoriami) oraz Marcelina Rydelek – uhonorowana nagrodą za plakat.
Ponadto w katalogu znalazły się w dziale „Rysunek satyryczny” prace Edwarda Tomenki, Zbigniewa Piszczako, Sławomira Łuczyńskiego, Jarosława Wojtasińskiego i Jacka Frąckiewicza; w dziale „Grafika i rysunek” prace Bartosza Cebuli i Kazimierza Babkiewicza: w dziale „Plakat” prace Ireneusza Parzyszka; w dziale „Fotografia” Zbigniewa Szymańskiego i Ireny Gałuszko.
Oprócz wymienionych artystów do konkursu swoje prace zgłosili, ale nie uznali uznania jurorów, w dziale rysunku satyrycznego: Jerzy Stępniak, Józef Jabłoński, Paweł Stańczyk, Wiesław Zięba, Zbigniew Kucia, Zbigniew Szymański oraz Bogumił Wtorkiewicz w dziale rysunku i grafiki.
Na tegoroczną edycję biennale nadeszło 1565 prac od 713 artystów z 55 krajów. Międzynarodowe jury zakwalifikowało do wystawy 723 prace 478 artystów z 46 krajów.
Główną nagrodę Grand Prix i statuetkę Złotego Ezopa zdobył Nikolay Angelov z Bułgarii.
